Roadworks threaten trip-boat service

A scheme to replace gas pipes in Uppermill in Saddleworth threatens disruption that could affect businesses including boat trips along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal .

The scheme by the National Grid, costing £750,000, will bring so much roadworks disruption that most visitors are expected to stay away.
